DIRECTIONS
Although a peaceful setting our accommodation is conveniently only 3.5 miles south of Brecon just off the A40 and therefore easy to find.
FROM LONDON: (3.5 HOURS)
Leave the M4 at junction 24 and join the A449 signposted; Monmouth, Midlands. Continue for about 15 miles then take the A40, signposted; Abergavenny. As you approach Abergavenny continue to follow signs for A40, Brecon.
After a further 15 miles turn left to Talybont-on-usk. At the junction turn right onto B4558. Continue through Talybont-on-usk and through Pencelli. About ½ mile beyond Pencelli the road passes over the canal. Turn right immediately after the bridge and continue along the driveway.
FROM CARDIFF: (1 HOUR)
Leave the M4 at junction 32 and take the A470 to Brecon, at Brecon follow the bypass and take the A40 towards Abergavenny. Take the first exit signposted B4558; Llanfrynach. At the junction, turn left, continue past a lock, and over a single lane bridge. Keep on this road for about a mile, just before a bridge going over the canal take a left turning. Ty Newydd is on the left hand side along a driveway.
FROM BIRMINGHAM & THE WEST MIDLANDS: (2.5 HOURS)
Take the M5 then M50 to Ross-on-wye. From there take the A40 to Abergavenny. From Abergavenny, take the A40 towards Brecon. Keep on the A40 for about 15 miles, passing through Crickhowell and up the twisting hill to Bwlch. A few miles down the hill after Bwlch, take a left turn signposted Talybont-on-usk. On entering Talybont-on-usk (1 mile), turn right at the junction onto the B4558. About 3 miles after leaving Talybont you pass through the village of Pencelli. Approximately 1 mile beyond Pencelli, the road rises to pass over the canal. Turn right immediately after the bridge and continue along the driveway.
