Sit back, relax and watch the colourful canal boats cruise by on the Mon and Brec canal from Ty Newydd Bed and Breakfast. All this against a backdrop of lush green countryside and the breath taking mountain ranges of the Brecon Beacons…A unique location, ideal for leisurely walks along the canal, hiking into the mountains, cycling or visiting some of the National Parks attractions. The central Beacons, including Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales is viewed from the accommodation.

Although secluded, our accommodation is conveniently located just 3 ½ miles from Brecon off the A40 and a 15 minute walk from the pretty village of Llanfrynach, where the WHITE SWAN restaurant is located. THE ROYAL OAK.....a quintessential Pub with a canal side location, is just a 30 minute stroll along the tow path. There are a number of other good pubs and eateries within a few miles catering for all budgets and tastes. THE STAR INN (3m) and THE THREE HORSESHOES (2m) both serve food and a range of Real Ales in a traditional local pub setting.

Ty Newydd Bed and Breakfast was built in the mid 18th century, and has recently been refurbished to a high standard. All our accommodation is well appointed, spacious and with bags of character, without compromising on comfort and convenience. All bedrooms have modern ensuites and guests are free to come and go as they please via their own entrance. Guests also have use of the private breakfast room and conservatory which looks out onto the stunning Breconshire countryside.
